It’s nothing short of amazing how far the plant-based movement has come along! As of late, how our perceptions of veganism are progressively changing because, damn #VeganFoodPorn!
It’s been more than a decade since I last ate meat – that’s pork, beef, chicken & the like. It started out as my sacrifice for lent in 2006 and strangely (and unintentionally), I have never looked back since.
As much as I would love to make my back story sound like a noble quest to save the world, quite the contrary. We foregoing meat wasn’t because I wanted to save animals or the environment. Those just gradually happened as time went by.
I am currently a Pescatarian. Meaning, I still eat seafood and then there’s some creepy crawlers and rodents, occasionally, lol.
The point is, this isn’t some annoying blog post from my imaginary high horse. I’m not here to shame those who choose to eat meat as a narcissistic desire to “save” the world. That’s just not my vibe 😉
Those peeps who do fall into the #EgoTrap – let’s not be one of those, fam!
I respect each one’s journey & choices.
Besides, I can never truly call myself a vegan as I still wear leather and fur. What’s most important, is we all try to do what we can.
So here’s some good vibes worth serving: Cambodia’s very first 100% vegan cafe, VIBE. My full review and a look at all my dishes plus inside the cafe, on the vlog.
Vibe’s Plant-based goodness for you right now on my YouTube channel! Enjoy!
